Review - Taboo 2015
23.8.2015

Sharing a name with one of the best guitarists to ever have lived is quite an auspicious start to any musical career. On his fifth album, Taboo, multi-instrumentalist Jimi Sobara channels not only that legend, but many others in his songs.

The first track, Temple Bar, sounds like it could be a B-side to any hard rock record that's on the market today. The rhythmic guitars are almost classic-sounding, with melodic solos sprinkled throughout. The next track, I am Not Alone, is not much different, but has a more prominent rhythm section. The creeping bassline keeps the whole song in time with the steady and strong drums.
